One store for
retail and wholesale.
Retail customers order directly, while wholesale buyers see the prices for their account and submit purchase requests. With customer permissions, pricing rules and order flows built for both, one website runs both businesses.

Which platform should you use?
Running retail and wholesale together puts heavy demands on pricing rules and account permissions, so we usually go one of these two routes.
Open source and fully customizable: wholesale prices, member tier pricing, minimum order quantities and quote requests can all follow your rules. Best for businesses with complex rules that want full control.
- Tiered pricing
- Quote request plugin
- Account approval
Brands that are mainly retail with some wholesale can use the wholesale features or apps on Shopify and similar platforms. Quick to launch and easy to maintain.
- Fast launch
- Fully hosted
- Proven retail experience
How a wholesale account gets set up.
Wholesale buyers can apply and submit purchase requests online. Approval, quotes and payment terms are handled according to your business rules.

How wholesale accounts are approved
- Customers apply on your website with their company name, country, contact details and any credentials you require (such as a business license or proof of distributorship).
- By default, your team reviews applications in the admin and assigns a customer tier on approval. You can also set rules to approve automatically.
- Until approved, applicants see retail prices only, never wholesale prices.
How tiered pricing works
- In this example, the unit price is matched to the quantity ordered of a single product. Whether quantities add up across products, and how customer tier pricing stacks, is defined in the proposal.
- You can also give fixed discounts by customer tier, or set prices product by product.
ExampleOrder 260 units: that falls in the 200 – 999 tier ($21.00)
260 × $21.00 = $5,460, $4,680 less than at the $39.00 retail price
Payment terms & inventory sync
- Offline payment such as net terms and bank transfer is open only to the wholesale buyers you choose, with credit limits and terms set by you.
- When retail and wholesale share one inventory, orders on either side deduct stock. Syncing with an ERP or warehouse system is scoped separately.
What these rules can do depends on the platform, plugins or apps chosen, and is confirmed point by point in the written proposal.
Builds usually take 5–8 weeks, depending on how complex your pricing rules and account structure are. The timeline is set out in the proposal.
FAQ
Don’t see your question? Leave a message below and a consultant will reply within 1 business day.
GeneralWill retail and wholesale get in each other’s way on one website?
Account permissions, price display and separate entry points keep the two customer groups apart. We check how each one works separately during testing.
WholesaleCan wholesale prices vary by customer tier?
Yes. Prices can differ by customer tier, order quantity or product category, and key accounts can get their own pricing.
WholesaleDo you support net terms and offline payment?
Yes. Wholesale buyers can be given net terms, bank transfer and other payment methods, while retail customers still pay online. The exact options depend on the platform and plugins, and we confirm them in the proposal.
RetailWill it hurt retail conversion?
We test the retail and wholesale flows separately and keep the extra features from getting in the way of retail browsing and checkout as much as possible.
GeneralI already have a retail store. Can you add wholesale?
In most cases we can add wholesale accounts and pricing rules to your existing website without starting over. We first check whether your current platform can support it.
GeneralHow are inventory and orders managed?
Retail and wholesale share one inventory and order back office, with filtering and export by channel, plus an ERP integration when you need one.
